nahbar 1.0.7 is here – packed with new features and improvements to help you nurture your relationships even better.

More Flexible Moments

Moments can now be edited after creation – adjust text, dates, and photos at any time. You can attach up to 5 images per moment and create recurring moments with repeat rules. Meetings can be added directly as calendar events, and group meetings with multiple people are now supported.

Better Overview

The global search now covers people, moments, and the log simultaneously. Birthdays are visible in the Today view and person details. People can be assigned to multiple groups at once.

Contacts and Communication

Phone numbers and email addresses can be imported directly from Apple Contacts. Call duration is now tracked for phone calls. Log entries can be edited and deleted after the fact.

Dopamin Mode: Motivation Through Rewards

The Dopamin mode has been expanded: you now earn XP for todos, and level-ups are celebrated with premium animations and confetti effects. Overdue todos receive escalating push reminders that gently nudge you to complete open tasks.

Smarter with On-Device AI

Apple Foundation Models are now the primary AI backend. Analysis and suggestions are processed faster and more privately, directly on your device. Mistral serves as a cloud fallback. The weekly relationship report provides an AI-generated summary of your week (Max subscription).

Simplified and Streamlined

The subscription model has been simplified: all features are now bundled in a single Max plan. Settings have been redesigned and onboarding streamlined – with a new spotlight tour that guides you through the key features.

Bug Fixes

Version 1.0.7 fixes numerous bugs, including issues with AI responses in the wrong language, navigation problems in the Today view, and display errors in gift suggestions.

Your data stays on your iPhone. No cloud, no account – unless you voluntarily use AI features.

Version 1.0.6 makes nahbar faster in everyday use, more flexible with photos, and friendlier to anyone who just wants to dive in.

Faster Capture with Quick Buttons

You’ll now find two permanent buttons right under the greeting in the Today view: Moment and Todo. One tap, pick people – done.

For moments, you can select several people at once and create a shared moment. The first person is the main one, the others are added as participants.

Multiple Photos per Moment

You can now add multiple photos to a single moment. In the overview they appear as a stacked preview – tap to open the gallery.

As always: All photos stay on your iPhone. No cloud, no upload.

AI Suggestions on Your Terms

Sometimes useful, sometimes in the way. You can now toggle AI suggestions for moments and gift ideas separately. If you don’t want to use AI at all, the app is completely yours.

And from now on, AI responses always come back in the language you’ve set in the app.

Easier Onboarding

The OCEAN personality test is no longer part of the onboarding flow. You’ll get into the app faster and can start with the people who matter to you. The test is still available – take it whenever you like from the “Me” view.

More Improvements

Unified add and edit: Editing a moment now uses the same layout as creating one – including reminders, photos, and additional participants.

Tap instead of swipe: In the log, a tap on any entry opens the editor directly. Delete is right there where you’d expect it.

Cleaner without stars: The star indicator has been removed entirely. Fewer symbols, more focus.

Bug Fixes

Moments in the past (e. g. a chat you’re logging after the fact) now go straight to the log – instead of getting stuck in the Today view.

Version 1.0.5 makes nahbar more colorful, more searchable, and more connected. You can now add photos to your moments, search across the entire app, and share one moment with multiple people at once.

Photos for Moments and “Me”

Selfie from the meetup, photo of dinner, snapshot from the park – you can now add photos to any moment. Straight from the camera or from your photo library. Your own profile picture can also be updated whenever you like.

As always with nahbar: Photos stay on your iPhone. No cloud, no upload.

Global Search

Looking for a person, an old moment, or a specific todo? Just start typing – the new search scans all content in your app at once. It also searches through your captured likes and dislikes.

Share Moments with Multiple People

A dinner together, a weekend with friends, a team event: When several people were part of a moment, you can now share it with all of them at once. The moment appears in every person’s log – but only once in your Today view.

When editing, you can add or remove people from the group at any time.

More Improvements

One person, multiple groups: Friends and colleagues? No longer a problem.

Separate birthday lookahead: In settings, you can now choose different time ranges for meetings/moments and birthdays.

Searchable contact picker: When adding people from your iPhone address book, a search field is always available.

Calendar entries with participants: Planned meetings with multiple people now list all attendees in the entry text – without automatically sending out invitations that could expose sensitive data.

Refined interests display: Interests now sit at the bottom of the person view and grow with the list. With many entries, a dedicated overview opens.

“Moments” instead of “Activities”: Consistent language across the whole app.

Bug Fixes

In edit mode, you can now scroll even when a moment contains a photo.

“Last contact” shows “Soon” for future appointments instead of confusing text fragments.

Todos can be created and completed again without the app freezing.

Gift ideas and other AI responses now display with clean formatting – thanks to a new universal parser.

Version 1.0.4 brings a long-awaited feature to nahbar: You can now share your own profile with other nahbar users. Plus, we’ve polished many details across the app.

Profile Sharing

The centerpiece of this update: You can export your nahbar profile as a .nahbar file and send it to friends or family – via AirDrop, Messages, or any other app that can share files.

You’re in full control: Before each share, you choose which information to include – whether it’s your birthday, occupation, location, OCEAN results, likes, dislikes, or social style. And most importantly: Everything happens directly from device to device. No cloud, no server.

On the receiving end, nahbar automatically detects if there’s already a matching contact and offers to merge the data or create a new entry – without ever overwriting existing information.

Haptic Feedback

Some people love vibrations on actions, some don’t. You’ll now find a toggle in settings to enable or disable haptic feedback.

Smarter Nudge Reminders

When you call someone or send a message through nahbar, the nudge interval is now automatically reset. The app recognizes that you’ve already reached out – and won’t remind you unnecessarily.

More Improvements

Edit moments and todos: Tapping on a moment or todo now opens the editor.

Calendar entries: Planned meetings now include all captured details like activity suggestions.

Planned meetings: Now closed the following day at 3 AM, so you have time to complete the aftermath questionnaire.

Report a bug: New direct link to the support page in settings.

Bug Fixes

Navigation after switching tabs now works correctly.

Empty popup during call time nudges fixed.

Text display in onboarding corrected.
